But don't let that friskiness fool you. The projects served by Hairy Carrion get the same level of care (sometimes more) as the more conventional projects the mother company serves.
Hairy Carrion Arts approaches visuals from three prongs:
commercial graphic design, illustration, and fine art projects.
If it can be printed, painted, tagged, digitized, paint balled, glued, waxed, shaved, tattooed, embeded, engraved, or anything you can think up, we'll find a way to get it done and get it done right.
It is a Hairy Carrion practice to put the right people into the right job. Under this philosophy the studio qualifies each and every project, and every client to ensure the right fit. Because we won't work with just anyone, neither should you. With integrity as the foundation of this practice, if we don't think we're the studio for you, we'll let you know up front. Why waste your time or money? Life's simply too short.
Part of our vision is to give you more than just some graphics you want. It's what you and your business need --to tell your story, to support your brand. And sometimes that means telling you that maybe your idea isn't the right one for the project. Cheeky? Maybe. But we understand that graphics are the best supporting actor to the brand vision. For us, it's not just about design. It's something more. And how many artists or designers are willing to say that?
The name Hairy Carrion came about in the 1980s as a joke. Or was it what dinner looked like at one of those greasy spoons some place between Bakersfield and Parrump? Don't ask. Sometimes it's just not worth pursing the answer to some of the silliness behind these things.
The cat you see on these pages is the late great Number Three. A devoted serial killer and vermin control specialist, Number Three was also one of our best Customer Relations Managers. No one could resist a short fat cat with a gregariously insistent demeanor and a very soft belly worthy of many pets.
Terri Lloyd has been creating visuals since the paleolithic era. Inspite of her very ancient state, she has been a freelance creative since 1996 --which we believe qualifies her not only as a dinosaur but also as an antique. As well as embracing the iconoclastic spirit of entrepreneurialism, she has also shown art in a variety of institutions and galleries and is a published illustrator. Terri is also represented by Black Book, New York.
Hairy Carrion Arts has been and continues to be a supporter and sponsor of various art endeavors in an around the Los Angeles area.
